So, is this legit, or did someone simply mirror the homepage in an attempt to slander?
Whitedevil.com is an odd cname for the NAACP’s website. A quick whois search reveals the details.

My best guess is that ElmoDog Services and Richard Head are not affiliated with the NAACP. Anyone handy with a search engine and some free time could confirm whether they are or not for sure. Then again, you could just try calling the number.
Thats what I assumed, I especially like the address:
No Way
Biggest Mounds, VA 21212
Do you suppose there’s an illegal aspect to this? Probably copyright infringement at least. It is notable that the website seems to update in real time with the real one, probably a script which havests the HTML from the real site every few hours or something.
I don’t know that it’s illegal yet, but I’ll bet it’s only a matter of time before it will be. The legal definitions for internet ettiquette are still under development. At this point, for example, it’s become a lot easier get a court order for someone to surrender a domain name if it conflicts with a previously help copyright or trademark.
Silly me … got all excited for a minute 'cos I thought this was going to be a John Webster thread. Oh well. Carry on.
Richard Head? As in Dick Head? My guess is also that they’re not affiliated.
IIRC, it’s also against the TOS to provide false information, which it seems that these guys did. It’s grounds to have the domain registration cancelled and, subsequently, resold.
