I had seen a similar picture to #6 released not long afterwards, but the others are new to me. Interesting that Camp David was the Vice President’s first “secure undisclosed location.”
The first picture if Dick Cheney made Tapatalk crash on my phone.
Did your phone apologize to Mr. Cheney?
I don’t know. It’s been flashing and buzzing, so presumably is having some sort of cyborg chat that I’m not privy to.
It’s crazy how young he looks.
Those pictures sure make it seem like it is President Cheney and subordinate Bush. Cheney is in the middle of seemingly every discussion, Bush is in only a few.
Bush was on an airplane for quite a time that day. I don’t think it is a fair criticism, given we don’t have the time each photo was taken.
Ah, good point. You’re right, we don’t know the timing.
The President got back to the White House a little before 7pm EST, so it’s not surprising he’s not in many pictures there that day: Timeline for the day of the September 11 attacks - Wikipedia
Well, that’s how it was.
Okay, just looked at the pics. Geez, for the most part, they really do emphasize Cheney. Many of them literally look like he has a spotlight on him.
In Pic #7, he appears to be describing to Bush how big somebody’s boobs are, while Bush is all, like, :dubious:
One of the captions mentions the pics were taken by Cheney’s staff photographer, so that’s why he’s in the middle of most of them.
I’ll second the highly relevant point that it was Cheney’s photographer taking the pictures.
Its quite obviously from 14 years ago. Tbe fashions and cut of clothing make that obvious.
No flags on lapels either.
No one is questioning these are from 14 years ago. It’s a question of were these taken while Bush was in the air that day. Also, I didn’t catch the credit to Cheney’s assigned photographer.
Actually I find the concept that the VP has a dude with a camera following him around all the time rather bizarre.
For some reason it reminds me of scrambling at the last minute to complete some group project in high school or college. Which I guess ultimately isn’t too far off from the truth of things.
There was an awful lot of improvisation going on that day, to be sure.
