If they’d edited the video to make this happen, I woulda had way more respect for them.
Not quite… but in the ballpark.
I’m particularly fond of the fingercuffs bit.
One post is longer than the other? You need to be more specific.

Based on the video evidence, it’s my belief that Acosta made physical contact with the woman.*
According to an ABC7CHICAGO article dated Wednesday, November 07, 2018 -
*Press Secretary Sarah Sanders released a statement accusing Acosta of physically assaulting a White House intern and saying his press credentials had been revoked until further notice.
“President Trump believes in a free press and expects and welcomes tough questions of him and his Administration. We will, however, never tolerate a reporter placing his hands on a young woman just trying to do her job as a White House intern. This conduct is absolutely unacceptable,” Sanders wrote in the statement.
The interaction between Acosta and the intern was brief, and Acosta appeared to brush her arm as she reached for the microphone and he tried to hold onto it. “Pardon me, ma’am,” he told her.*
I think it’s nice that there is video evidence of Acosta saying, “Pardon me, ma’am” to the woman he had just made contact with.
It must depend on which video you’ve seen.
I agree with you that folks are still debating the first few points, and that should be a considered a reasonable thing to do.
No he didn’t; she made contact with him.
In no way did Mr. Acosta initiate the contact, as you seem to be trying to imply with the specific word choice you’ve made.
You’re entitled to your opinion. This video shows Acosta making contact with the woman at 1:38. Acosta follows up by saying, “Pardon me, ma’am” at 1:39.
The same video that shows the woman invading Acosta’s personal space, including reaching across his body, or some fever dream that has no relevance to the discussion?
That “pardon me, ma’am” was more of a polite “excuse you?” that apologizing for the contact.
Why are we still conflating “made contact with” and “physically assaulted”? Yes, their arms touched as she reached across him to grab the microphone. That’s a ludicrously low bar for “physical assault”.
I don’t see how I can be more specific then quoting your exact words. In the first one, you maintain that Acosta hit and assaulted a woman.
In the next quote you simply say “made physical contact”
One seems like a crime, and one seems like incidental contact after the woman reached across him to grab the microphone.
So, are you still maintaining that the video shows Acosta assaulting the woman? Or not?
Why do you care?
Because a line needs to be drawn somewhere against the Administration’s continual attempts to marginalize and silence the press?
Is this addressed at me? The whole board? America?
It could have been a random hypothetical philosophical question, too.
Sorry, I didn’t use quote because my reply was in direct response to your last sentence in the post just above it.
I think voltaire’s point is that arguing with doorhinge is like arguing with a house cat. Even if you successfully trap him in a corner with his own words, he’ll never admit to being wrong or dumb or outlandish because “being correct” and “growing as a person” aren’t motivating factors for him posting here.
I don’t “care” as much as I am just interested in what his opinion is.
Pretty much the reason why I read this board.
Good luck getting even that much out of it.
I’m also bored
This is not the Pit. Knock it off.

Because, apparently, the issue has not yet been settled. Plus, the terms used to have changed as time goes by. You say their arms touched as she reached for the microphone. You ARE entitled to your opinion.
While there are some people who insist that there is only one acceptable description of the Acosta vs woman interaction, I’m not one of them.
