White House Party Crashers have a TV deal

Remember the Salahis, and the party crashing episode that caused such consternation at the White House and Secret Service? Well, if you don’t remember their faces, pretty soon you’ll have a chance to see them every week on Bravo’s Real Housewives of DC,

It turns out Bravo was filming them as far bcak as the party crash. Bravo, though, claims it had no role or knowedge in advance of the incident. Bravo also claims that at that time, they were more or less screen testing the couple, that they had not yet sealed any deals for them to be on the show. Which tells me that Bravo rewarded them with a contract.

Colbert did an interview with a Bravo exec last week where this was mentioned. I guess this isn’t new news. When I heard about it I Googled them and found articles about the deal going back more than a month. But a search here for their name didn’t come up with any threads on it.

It was known immediately after their crashing the White House party that they were being filmed for The Real Housewives of D.C.:

Maybe you don’t know about this if you don’t live in the D.C. area. The Washington Post has been heaping contempt on this program since right after the crashing of the party. This program is apparently even stupider than most reality programs. The events in the program are, as usual, set-ups rather than anything natural from the participants. The women aren’t housewives in any normal sense, and they have no connection to anyone of any importance in D.C. I presume I don’t have to go over the evidence that the Salahis are con artists who have screwed over a lot of people.
