I like to buy peeled and washed baby carrots because they’re a really convenient and healthy snack food. Sometimes I notice that they have white stuff on them when they aren’t too fresh. I usualy leave these ones alone, but it makes me wonder about the rest of the bag. I want to know if there’s some kind of mold or fungus growing on them, or if it’s just some kind of reaction that peeled carrots go through when they dry out (kind of like apples turning brown).
I’d bet it’s mold or fungus. 'Specially if they are the non-fresh ones.
