He often hurls things around like for example a gas barbecue with a turkey in it because its not cooking properly. The sheer stupidity of his expression of frustration would normally be funny, but not for me anymore.
I suppose I could add that in the late 90s and early 00s I lived safely in a trailer park, on an Indian reservation, in a 10 foot trailor for 5 years with interesting neighbours down on their luck while I struggled to keep the wolf away from the front door of my family’s home.
And, yes I’m embarassed about the “trailor” spelling. It looks right to me because of the “tailor” spelling.

I’m sure The Flying Dutchman is very sorry his daughter wasn’t attacked by a rich middle class person in the suburbs, but the fact is that she was attacked in a trailer park. He’s not making generalisations about trailer parks, he is in fact having a mild go at a show which itself presents negative stereotypes about trailer parks. Some people need to get off their high horses, indeed.
No, he referred to the trailer park culture as being scary, and directly implied that such culture was the cause of his daughter’s bad situation. That’s tarring an entire group with one brush.

“White trash” and “trailer park trash” are offensive terms to many people. Just because it isn’t your ox being gored doesn’t mean no blood was spilled. How about you decide what offends you and I’ll do the same for me? Or has someone left you in charge?
What is telling the paper going to do? Is everyone in the city going to band together and force the handful of yahoos in the trailer park to give up their meth and booze? Will everyone resolve not to make deliveries there anymore? I’m not saying it wasn’t shitty and you shouldn’t be concerned for your daughter, but I’m not sure what you expect to happen.
