Didn’t we do this to death in the other threads? As a 38 year old healthy male, if my premium increases because the new ACA compliant plan offers maternity care, free mammograms and contraception, and no denials for pre-existing conditions, then I have received absolutely nothing in the form of increased benefits for my higher premiums.
Can we at least be honest and say that “you’re paying more so that others can get more”?
Since RNATB has not responded can anyone point me to any cite that explains how insurance companies on the exchanges calculated their rates. RNATB claimed that they used the worst-case scenario to calculate their rates but this does not seem correct. If that were the case then, by definition, rates would not increase due to the pool being composed of only sick people.
