I didn’t read the Wiki page, and didn’t know this had happened.

And his race had NOTHING to do with it.

This board had, and still has, lots of threads and posts about juvenile crime, and there’s a lot of “throw the book at them” going on.

Like I said earlier, I believed then and now that the people who did this to the boy needed to be prosecuted, but I also don’t think they did this to someone who had much of a future. Guess it’s too late to find out now, is it? :o

Why did the people who physically assaulted another human being need to be prosecuted but the kid that stole some candy needed to die?

Oskar Dirlewanger was probably beaten to death, though the exact circumstances of his death seem to be uncertain. If there is anyone in the history of mankind who was more deserving of being beaten to death than this guy, I have no fucking idea who it is.

Here’s one up for debate, but I think anyone who breaks into a persons house multiple times over a period of time and eventually winds up getting shot or stabbed and killed by the home owner deserved to die.

You may go “Property is not worth taking a life for” but in my mind, the moment you break into somebody’s domain where they’re actively living in more than once it’s no longer about stealing to survive, rather it’s an intimidation game where the intruder is doing it deliberately to show their power over someone. If you read the news stories it’s always people who have broke in dozens of times and they make off with trivial amounts of cash or property but they continue to break in anyway knowing the home owner could do nothing about it. They know they’re terrorizing somebody but continue to do it anyway which shows they have a complete lack of empathy and aren’t doing it to feed their family. If the police can’t do anything about it and security systems don’t work, what else can a person do?

I second this nomination. Your post reminded me of a hair-raising eyewitness account of the atrocities he and his band of scum perpetrated which I had stumbled across years ago. Just a small snippet of the bestial brutality on display:

This guy Anthony Spilotro - Wikipedia was still quite well known/infamous in Las Vegas after his death. I got there just a few months too late to have seen him around town. He cut a large swath among the movers and shakers of both legit and illegit Vegas.

Good riddance to another psycho killer. His cruelty & victim count were legendary.

But what a way to go. Yeesh.

If Darren Henry hadn’t taken his own life, Dawn Breedon’s brothers would have murdered him. I’ve known Dawn for about 40 years, and I know that statement is true. Darren Henry deserved to die.
