I was born at home, Im a twin, we were six weeks early… luckily enough a neighbour was a midwife so she came and helped out and another male neighbour went off to find a poilceman in his car because none of us in the neighbourhood had a phone.

BTW, the only thing at all interesting about my and my brother’s births is that they have since demolished the hospital.
I was born at home. My father and a midwife. I was taken to the doctor a week later to be checked and registered. It was 1937, and not too unusual.
