Who did Negal kill on Walking Dead? Your final prediction.

Nevermind. Yeeesh.

Holy shit. What if they *all *buy it, except for Rick?

I think I stopped breathing there for a minute.

Wow. Intense.

Inside information? :dubious:

When Abe bought it, I thought the writers copped out. As I said, I thought it would be Glenn. And then it was Glenn. So they faked me out.

I have to say though, Negan has some smashing get-togethers.

I’m a bit curious how the accuracy of the deaths was puzzled out. Spoiler sites?

I was figuring it was a larger (male) member of the group since we knew this person didn’t go down after the first blow and physics.

We knew that the victim was on Rick’s left. Maggie was directly next to Rick, and there ain’t no way in hell the writers are going to have Negan beat a pregnant woman to death with a bat. Abraham was next, and a viable choice- biggest guy, clearly not afraid of Negan, just settled into a positive headspace planning a life with Sasha, not a “since day one of the show” fan favorite. Plus it obviously took more than one blow to knock the person out, and Maggie was already 60% out of it.

But with all the buildup and with the actress that plays Maggie bursting into tears at ComiCon, it couldn’t just be Abraham. Glenn is the Lucille victim in the comic books, and although the writers have branched off in a number of ways from the books, it made sense that they would come back to the source material for this, especially after the (justified) outrage at Glenn’s last escape from certain death. Abraham’s death wouldn’t break Rick. Glenn’s would.

Plus I really just wanted Glenn to die.

What I want to see is what happens if the stress leads to the baby dying in utero. Would the writers “go there” and have Maggie munched on from the inside? Is she far enough along for something like that to play out?

There was some big spoiler site that learned the secret, but I was hoping it was misdirection. I voted Maggie because it made ore sense, but I had heard the rumors.

Why? I’m surprised it wasn’t her.
Turns out my thoughts were correct. Abraham should have been the death last season in the finale and he should have turned and said, “If I can kill one…why not two?” and when he swung(towards Glenn we now know), it could have cut to black and that could have served as the cliffhanger.

Keeping both deaths to now was badly designed.

Very few fetuses or almost newborns have teeth so no way for it to eat its way out. While all 3 of mine had long nails that they scratched their faces with they (their nails) weren’t long enough nor strong enough to rip their way out.

I didn’t care that Abe died and by the time Glenn died I was bored. Gratuitous violence just isn’t my thing.

TWD has stopped being a decent nighttime soap opera and is just ick compounded by yuck.

I’m a bit late to this, but at the time I had guessed Glenn, Abraham, or Daryl. The first two were interchangeable, while Daryl was a reach, given his popularity.

Reasons why (spoilers for those who haven’t watched, yet):
I don’t think the show is at a point where they’d show a woman (much less a pregnant one, in the case of Maggie), or kid, beaten to death with a bat in arguably the most brutal sequence in the books or show, so that eliminated much of the group.

For there to be a major impact, it couldn’t be Aaron or Eugene, IMO.

Abraham was already on borrowed time, and was obviously sturdy enough to take a shot or two, before going down.

Glenn, much the same, plus he gets it in the book, so he was my 1-2 candidate.

The kicker for me was that Negan killed two people. I didn’t see that coming, but it made total sense.
