Thanks, but I feel like I’m one step above being a bot these days. The smartest play I made all night was folding KJ-suited before the flop. It’s worth pointing out that I have no kills for the entire quarter so far, and I don’t know how much longer I can keep blaming it on the cards.
Not to be too much of an attention whore here, but what the hell am I doing wrong?
Don’t worry about it. Some MF’r went all in on a draw (and a weak draw at that) to kill me tonight.
What can you do?
Seriously, other than getting great pocket cards, the key to this game is understanding pot odds. Unlike a limit game, you can control the pot odds in a NL game. Of course, it helps to get decent cards once in a while. Sometimes, they never come.
It’s so rare that I’ve done things worthy of people calling me a MF’r! I’m so proud. 
(You just got on the bad side of a guy hitting his cards and taking stupid chances to see it happen. I wasn’t playing good poker on that hand.)

When I went out, I had KJ. Got the QT on the flop (IIRC). Stuck enough chips out there begging for a 9 or an A, sucked out an A on the river, thought I had it made. But nooooo. Nook out-sucked me for a friggen boat.
And RA, don’t sweat it too much. I had the most wins and the most kills last Q and still finished at the bottom of the pack.
Some days you’re the Duke, some days the Duck.
I’m already worried about it, and it ain’t just one night.
I’m very competitive. It’s not that I expect to make it to the World Series next year or anything, I just hate sucking at something and not knowing why.
Either I’m bad at this game or I’m cursed, and I don’t believe in curses.
