I own only one of the three.
But then you probably don’t own Frank Zappa’s The Best Band You Never Heard In Your Life

Reality Chuck: I bought Soft Machine 2 with green stamps, so I never got to 3, 2 was pretty good.
I bought Sgt Pepper in stereo and was impressed, but I guess I was too cheap to buy Magical Mystery Tour (good album, bad movie)in stereo. I wonder if these mono prints are worth something?
Not a one.
Oddly enough those three are the only “records” I own.
Where’s my side of FUN!?

“His eyes are as green as a fresh-pickled toad,
His hair is as dark as a blackboard,
I wish he was mine, he’s really divine,
The hero who conquered the Dark Lord.”
Do you mean Jagged Little Pill, which is the one everyone thinks of and which made her reputation, or one of her two earlier ones, which were popcrap (and only released in Canada, AFAIK)?
I have Led Zeppelin IV, and about every Beatles album but Sgt Pepper (just cause I havent gotten it yet). I hate Pink Floyd, although I definitely wanna do the Wizard of Oz thing - sounds like a hoot.
I’m class of '91, and I have no idea what the albums everyone had to have would be - Cosmic Thing by the B-52’s, I suppose, and (Lord help us) Paula Abdul - those were the ones I remember everybody rushing out to buy.

Nope. Not a one. Don’t think I’ve ever heard them either. Neither do I want to.
My music collection is small, unique, and elicits raised eyebrows from most who see it.
Well I dont own any of those nor have I heard songs from those albums (i think…i might have heard some from the Beatles album). Then again, I really dont listen to much rock at all. I listen to some vaguely rock like stuff like Portishead, but they’re not really rock (triphop). If a song strikes me, or friends are listening to it in the car, i’ll listen in, but I don’t actively seek out rock music.
Anyway, I wouldn’t know what my specific generation would have bought (Class of 97). Since I listened to stuff no one else did in HS (house, Oldies R&B, some 70’s funk or R&B stuff, etc). People I grew up with in HS mostly listened to rap, and R&B (modern) mostly.
I’ve never heard of them.
Kidding. My husband is a Zappa fan, and I think he has everything he ever thought of. And now he’s inflicting it on my impressionable young daughter. She’s three. And you know what? She likes it.
This space blank, until Wally thinks up something cool to put here.
If there’s one album that practically everybody my age has (or has had), i think it would be Guns ‘n’ Roses: Appetite For Destruction. or maybe Bon Jovi: Slippery When Wet.

I don’t own any of them. (How many people saw that coming?) I used to own a Beatles tape (not Sergeant Pepper), but I don’t think I’ve seen it since I moved last year.
Your Official Cat Goddess since 10/20/99.
Now, Mr. President, the key issue we face today…is that an ice cream truck I hear?
Led Zep rules, I saw them in concert twice in my younger days. I play a Led Zep CD in the car for my 12 year old, who loves them, that’s my girl, she likes “What Is and Should Never Be” and “Whole Lotta Love”. We are all very fond of Queen in our house and don’t care who knows it. I heard “Thick As A Brick” the other day and am seriously adding some 'Tull to the mix. Oh, and Simon and Garfunkle, the beauty of their music can reduce me to tears to this day.
Sgt. Pepper - I had the album but it got lost in the mists of time. I’m not very familiar with Pink Floyd except for one super song, very rousing, instrumental, don’t know the name except when I’m driving when it comes on the radio, I’ve been known to go as much as 5 MPH over the speed limit!!!
Woo Hoo!
