Who dubbed Toshirô Mifune's voice?

Toshirô Mifune’s appearances in American films has him speaking with a deep, resonant voice. Although he did speak English, he is dubbed in U.S. films; it seems by the same voice actor. Who was the voice actor?

Paul Frees, The Man of a Thousand Voices, dubbed for him in at least one movie.

Which movie? Midway is on now, pending The Matrix: Revisited.

Midway, fer sure.

The next time he speaks, just imagine him following it with, “. . . that way, we can get Moose and Squirrel.”

In a parallel universe, Mifune’s later work was dubbed by John Belushi. And in that same universe, Belushi was himself dubbed by Mifune for Japanese audiences.

Paul Frees has about a gazillion screen credits, most of it voice work. He dubbed Mifune’s voice in two films: Midway, as already stated, and Grand Prix.
