Who else here doesn't like British politician George Galloway?

He said that Bradford an English city was an Israeli free zone and he sometimes appears on TV and you can just see the evil looking out of him so anyone else seen him? And he talks about Respect but he seems to be very harsh in some of the things he says and what do you think about him then?

Dude… take it easy, OK? Maybe you should get some sleep.

It’s a well known fact that TV makes you appear 20 lbs eviler.

George Galloway is a total cunt.

I don’t like him much either. Of course, I have to concede that he is an astute politician - he managed to get elected to Parliament in the 2005 general election without being a member of a major party, which is quite difficult to do.

He was ejected from the Labour party in 2003 after being found guilty on four charges of “bringing the Labour Party into disrepute,” and joined the Respect party the next year. He was elected as MP for Bethnal Green in 05 in the general election, lost (in another constituency) in 2010 and was elected as Bradford MP in 2012.

As far as I’m concerned his low point was appearing in one of the Big Brother shows - while still an MP.

Anyway, maybe that will help understanding a little.

I don’t like him. I don’t know who he is, and consequently don’t like him.

I like how his declaration of Bradford s a “no-Israel zone” lead to an *immediate *visit by the Israeli ambassador. I mean, what did he think would happen?

I was going to write quite a long post about exactly what I think is wrong with George Galloway but, frankly, Tithonus covers it in post #4.

Wasn’t this the fella who was very vocally against the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq? If so, I like him, just for that. Haven’t heard about him being in Big Brother, though, that’s disappointing to say the least.

Never heard of him but I’m willing to dislike him because: I don’t know him; and he’s a politician. I don’t like anyone I don’t know, so the second reason is just a bonus one.

Also, I don’t like most of the people I DO know.

I’ve had dealings with the man. He’s far more vile than that.

Well, I was trying to be diplomatic

The best thing about the stentorian prick is that one day, hopefully soon, he will no longer be. I look forward to it. I’ll take the day off work, take the kids out of school. Maybe go to the park, or the cinema if the weather’s poor. Either way, I’ll have an ice cream.

He’s far worse than he’s painted.

I refer the right honourable gentlemen to the legal precedent of “Tithonus vs Galloway”

He is a truly objectionable twat.

The danger with him is that, if you listen long enough to him you are bound to hear an occasional opinion from him that you’ll agree with and he will certainly express it in an aesthetically pleasing way.

Don’t let that mask the fact that at his core, he is a hateful, malignant, cunt.

Well now of course around election times he does always end up on the TV and on other programmes talking about equality and things like that so can anyone say if he is very left-wing or right-wing or conservative or liberal or what? Anyone else think that there are far better politicians than him and also any nasty things he has been saying on the TV and things like all that then?

Yes, I will agree that any nasty things he has been saying on the TV and things like all that then. Mostly because I don’t want to try to argue against that statement.

“I’m particularly glad that these lovely children were here today to hear that speech. Not only was it authentic frontier gibberish, it expressed a courage little seen in this day and age.”

Me. Too much alliteration.

Unassailable logic with which I heartily concur.
