I also like the music (and the commercials). I love the older one with the little boy and his dad going through the car wash. It reminds me of my son. The one with the little boy building with his asparagus is cute, too.
“Saw it written and I saw it say,
Pink Moon is on its way,
None of you stand so tall,
Pink Moon won’t get ye all…”
I was talking about Nick Drake a couple of weeks ago with a friend who plays guitar and he suggested I check out the rest of his work. So last Friday I picked up Way to Blue: An Introduction to Nick Drake at a record store in Concord, NH. It provided great theme music for the 500-mile drive home! Nick Drake, BTW, died in the mid-seventies while still young (or so I read-- apparently Shiva heard otherwise). From his bio it appears he suffered from depression. I recommend the CD-- look under “Folk.”
But please don’t tell too many people!! I don’t want the music to become popular!!
Also: A promo on NPR on Thursday afternoon indicated they were going to do a segment on Nick Drake on Friday’s “Morning Edition.” I missed it, but a link to the segment can be found by clicking here and scrolling down.
p.s. JuanitaTech: Pint {d): Agreed, but even worse is the little kid who whispers “Zoom Zoom!” I usually lunge for the remote to mute it or change the channel!
Thank you! I’ve been wondering what the hell he says. I’ve always loved songs where the person sounds like they’re drunk or something over a pretty melody. That way you can here them three times before you even get into them really. For reference, try Rickie Lee Jones or Cocteau Twins. I think I’ll have to buy that Nick Drake CD. The money probably goes somewhere useful. I feel bad usind Napster unless I end up buying the stuff I like, and I LOVE that song.
