Who else playsthe Toejam and Earl video games?

I was just reading the thread of funny videogame enemies, and noticed people talking about TJ&E. I love those games. I spent more time playing that game than all the others put out for Sega. It was wierd, quirky and compelling. The enemies were geeky fun, but still… the boogie man WAS scary. It had the advantage of being a game you could still play almost as well if you were home sick with a fever. I enjoy the TJ&E III a lot, but I feel the 3d environment is not quite as intuitive as the 2d orginal. It feels like I have to keep thinking about the controls, not the game. Still, it stayed true to the orginal feel. I keep getting stuck on the level with the darn giant chickens. Come on, who else digs those games?

I apologize to everyone for previewing the post and still misspelling the title. I blame the cough syrup.

I do

Well, I used to have a Megadrive and played Toejam & Earl 2 on it. I borrowed the original off a friend and played it even more than the sequel–the original is much simpler but it’s better for it.

I sold the Megadrive ages ago, but a couple of years ago I downloaded an emulator for my PC. The first game I downloaded for the Emulator: Toejam & Earl.

I played it a long, long time ago when a friend lended me his Sega system. I definitely remember remarking that the game was on drugs, and enjoying it immensely.

I love this game, not as much as my brother thogh, he has 2 dogs, a Toejam & an Earl.
