Who has stayed at either the Hotel Hershey or the Hershey Lodge?

I’m going to say this, and you are covered:

Willow Valley Resort (indoor waterpark, half dozen pools, kid friendly, family friendly, killer food, nice golf, with combo packages that include food, RRs, Dutch Wdlnd, Hsy Park, etc)

Strasburg RR - a must
Choo-Choo Barn - cute
Penn RR Museum - a must
Dutch Wonderland - a must, super kid-freindly, perfect for your kids’ ages, classic rides and small waterpark (outside)
Hershey park - a great mix. Tons of kid friendly stuff, great coasters (if desired), great water rides. Park is big and diverse

Lots of other details, and some nice Amish farm tours, eateries, family style restaurants, etc.

Fan-fudging-tastic!

Many thanks Philster, this sounds like exactly the sort of place I was looking for!

Hey, no problem. My family and two others have gone there twice in the past three years. We are regular people…with kids between 3 and 9, and we didn’t even kill each other!

Make sure you check out the ‘seasonal attraction’ packages at the WillowValley link.

Willow Valley has a great reputation. Prettty solid all around, and I’ve referred co-workers and other friends, too, and they were all happy.

My kids, 4 y/o girl and 6 y/o boy, still clutch their park maps and PA Dutch Country maps like they are maps to kid paradise. We didn’t get sucked into the ‘you must go to Disney World every year starting now’ syndrome – and let me tell you, I am thankful and my kids are, too. In due time, we’ll get there. Lancaster County and the surrounding attractions were a family-style home run.

Good times.

I have not stayed there myself, but I have friends who have stayed at the Hershey Lodge and they rave about it. My understanding is that it is costly.
