What happened to lite tampons? Where did they go? Who decided they should only be found in “varietals” packs, nestled among regular and supers?
At first it was just Playtex. I had to turn to Tampax to take care of my lite days. And that worked fine until I discovered the joys of the menstrual cup and lived tampon free for a few years. But now that I have had my IUD inserted I can not use the cup until the strings are cut next week and I need to resort to tampons to take care of my very light period. And now I can’t even find Tampax lites! It’s driving me nuts!
I hate stuffing myself with a regular strength tampon and having to forcibly remove it every four hours, barely damp from my meager flow. It’s bad enough that I’m actually considering using liners for the rest of this week, even though they’re gross and will relegate me to granny panties when I am a hard-core thong girl. (I know there are “thong liners” but that concept is so ridiculous I can’t believe it was even considered, in the same category as “black liners.”)
Anyway, just one more cycle to contend with until I get my strings snipped and become a real boy! I mean can go back to my menstrual cup. Until then, my vagina is filled with cotton and grrrr.
Hey, ob tampons come in lites! They are just, oddly enough, named “regular”. I know that’s weird, and I don’t understand it either, but their regulars are designed for light flow. Or so it says on the website, anyway!
It was that annoying chick from the commercials who goes around stealing everyone’s tampons because she’s stupid enough to wear white during her period.
I just want to second this- everyone is always afraid to use OBs because they have no applicator, but it’s really not the big a deal, plus they’re tiny and easy to store, as well as to carry discretely in your hand.
