In other words, he may fuck up the rest of the country, but you think you’ll come out all right so it really doesn’t matter.
Thanks.

What in heaven’s name makes him remotely qualified?
Don’t trust Hillay to do what? What would an “untrustworthy” Hillary do that could compare to Trump’s “gonna be a mess?”
I don’t think he will be as bad as he is being made out to be. He wasn’t what I wanted, he is what I’m stuck with. I am not here to demonize Hillary or argue about Hillary. This thread is about why I am voting for Trump. I think he is going to create jobs, help fix the economy, stop ILLEGAL immigration, and he is not going to impose on my rights.
My wife is Filipino. It is a very close group of people. A lot of them are effected by illegal immigrants hurting their job aspects and lowering how much they are going to get paid. So they are voting Trump. Most people I know are voting for Trump. They just don’t talk about it a lot, because how much flak the get.
And you just got done saying
Which one is it?
Or are you just throwing out whatever response that corresponds to the question asked…even if it contradicts any of your previous responses? This type of posting makes me believe that your so-called sudden and reluctant conversion to Trump isn’t so sudden and not so reluctant.
I know he is gonna be a mess, and I know it is gonna make change. That is inherently a good thing in my opinion. SO in the big picture, it is not gonna be as bad as people make it out to be. Is it going to be fun? Probably not, but I would rather his mess then 4 more years of Obama.
Btw, I understand you don’t like my viewpoint, and that is ok. No need to be all jumpy.
I get it, unpopular opinion here.
No, you don’t get to pull the “unpopular opinion martyr” bit here-nobody has challenged you on your opinion. It’s the reasons you put forth for your opinion that are being challenged, and they are vague and contradictory, at best.
I gave my reasons. If you can’t comprehend them that is on you.
I think he is better than Hillary. So I am going to vote for him. Pretty simple.
This is interesting to me, because I find the prospect of a Trump presidency terrifying.
Can you tell us more about what’s been so bad about the Obama era? Personally, I’d love 4 more years, even if the opposition had a stable and qualified candidate.
I don’t think is the right thread, but I will oblige. I don’t think Obama was horrible, but I think he could have done a lot better. I think Obamacare is horrid. I think the country is more divided then it has been in a long while. I think he jumps to conclusions in matters, before all the evidence is out. I don’t like the refugee crisis and his deal with Iran scares the shit out of me.
And you look at Trump and see something better? What the holy hell in his past leads you to believe that Trump can do better?
Thank you. Fair enough. I disagree, but you’re right, it’s not the thread for that.
I have to say, I think this is the first time I’ve seen Bams described as jumping to conclusions rather than deliberative.
I feel like you are having trouble grasping that somebody disagrees with you. Scroll back and you will clearly see the reasons I put.
Why do you think Obamacare is horrid? Don’t you think having fewer uninsured is a good thing? Are you aware that Obamacare is pretty much the Republican alternative to Hillarycare in 1993?
Why should the Iran deal frighten you? It makes them much less likely to develop a nuclear weapon.
I agree with you on the first one.
I need a cite for the second.
I’ll take the opportunity to try and sway anyone still planning to vote for Trump (not that I expect much success):
It’s not a coincidence that Trump rose to political prominence on the bullshit and baseless conspiracy theory of birtherism (that Obama was not born in America) which specifically appeals to white supremacists and other bigots; it’s not a coincidence that he skyrocketed in the Republican nomination because he called Mexican illegal immigrants rapists; it’s not a coincidence that his most ardent backers are white supremacists like David Duke and their more modern spiritual descendants in the alt-right like Steve Bannon – there’s still, unfortunately, a bigoted, white supremacist rump in America that doesn’t believe a black person can legitimately be president, and believes that Hispanic immigrants are dangerous, etc., and Trump has directly appealed to these folks since he started trumping birtherism (with utterly zero evidence and basis) in 2011. Not everyone who supports Trump necessarily believes in white supremacism, but they are still supporting someone who has directly aimed his appeal at those folks that do.
That’s the absolute worst part of America, and that philosophy is responsible for the worst things in American history. Please, please don’t give them any additional power or legitimacy. David Duke almost became governor of Louisiana when I was a boy growing up in LA – my first memories of anything political. My parents volunteered for Duke’s corrupt opponent, Edwin Edwards (who was indeed a corrupt politician), because corruption is superior to white supremacism and bigotry. They were correct – Edwards was a corrupt man, but he did not enact white supremacist policies or lend any additional power and legitimacy to white supremacists. If Hillary Clinton is indeed corrupt, she’s still much less bad than an option that deliberately tries to appeal to bigots. If you can’t support Hillary, then please still don’t support Trump.
What do you think the purpose of the agreement was? Here you go.
First of all, it’s not likely Iran even wants the bomb. They were crippled by the sanctions and have no interest in seeing them reimposed. What is your objection to the deal, just things you pick up on talk radio where some idiot says that the deal gives them the bomb?
That is the opposite of what this thread was made for. Anyways, it was good chatting, but everybody seems to be off topic. I’ll check in later to see if it gets back on the rails.
