Who in the bloody hell actually bids on these Chinese ebay auctions?

As some of you may know, there was an obscure American music company called Noble during the sixties that put its badge on cheap Japanese-made guitars. Decades later, these guitars are prized for their unique vintage sound, and collected by musicians (simliar to Teisco.)

So I search on eBay, hoping to find one - and I get this.

What

The

Fuck??

Noble cultured musical instrument electricity guitar. Music tool electricity guitar of the noble vogue. The noble new electricity guitar of the royal blue. All from beautiful Shanghai, China. All being sold by shady-ass no-feedback sleazeballs. And all starting at under two dollars!

No, there’s NOTHING suspicious about these whatsoever!

My question is, why does eBay allow these Chinese scam artists to hawk their poisoned wares? Why don’t they do something about it, banning these jerks from eBay permanently and reporting them to some kind of fraud industry? And how could anyone in their right mind bid on these auctions?

Sounds like they charge ridiculous shipping charges, as aluded to here in one auction:

They’re probably all scams in that you will be encouraged to pay by an unprotected method and will at best receive a very cheap counterfeit item, possibly nothing at all; they sell the items at low prices to attract interest and they charge high shipping because there are no ebay fees on the shipping cost, and also, the seller is not obliged to refund the shipping in the case of customer return (in the case of the cheap-ass counterfeit item actually turning up).

The reason they all use similarly absurd language in their listings is probably the same reason why so many Nigerian 419 scammers talk about ‘modalities’ - they’re all copying off each other, because their grasp of English is minimal.

Oh, come on! who wouldn’t want the noble cultured music tool electricity guitar?

Ha Ha Ha America!

Didn’t we do this exact same Chinese-guitar scam thread just a week or two ago?

From your link

So I guess the answer is eBay
