Pavin will announce his remaining 4 picks, Tuesday morning at 10:30 edt.
Tiger is a lock, there is no way Pavin is going to leave him off the team.
The other three? Not any of the contenders on the short list have come out and screamed “Pick Me!”
I really don’t think he will pick today’s winner, Charley Hoffman. I don’t see how he can reward someone who showed up one week this year.
I think Zach Johnson and Stewart Cink will be two of the other picks.
The fourth pick is probably JB Holmes or Rickie Fowler. Ryan Palmer is my longshot pick. He has been playing well and definitely Under the radar.
Holmes and Watson would be an interesting pairing.
I think your analysis is pretty close.
Who could skip Tiger?
woods, cink, holmes and johnson.
way to go mensa.
i’m a little surprised about fowler over holmes but maybe he will bring that youthful exuberance that puts them over the top.
Hasn’t Fowler had half the time to accumulate points that everyone else has?
2 Pokes on the roster!
Not really half the time, but he did miss 4 tournaments in the 2009 majors. Technically, Fowler also missed the 2010 Masters and 2010 US Open. So he missed those tournaments as well. (and 2010 Majors are worth double points). so yes, Fowler was at a competitive disadvantage to the other players.
Points from the 2009 Majors and Double points in the 2010 Majors were the main reason why TW was 12th in the RC standings. TW was in 3rd place (behind Cink/Glover) going into this year, and his only top 10’s in 2010 were at the Masters and US Open.
