Who is the most evil person you personally know?

Those who have only dealt with really shitty people should be thankful they haven’t had to be in the presence of true evil.

I knew a guy who would constantly cheat at games, and he regaled us with how he got several boxes of one game box because the sets were “incomplete” according to him, so he’d call and they’d send him another one for free, several times. I of course suspect that they were not incomplete at all and he altered that detail both on the phone and when recounting the tale.

I taught a young man who hired two of his classmates, also students of mine, to kill his parents. All three of them are in prison.

Like Loach, I’ve known some extremely evil people through work.

So did the baby die because the parents wanted it? Because if third party wishes can kill people, there are a lot of people in this world whose ongoing existence is unexplainable.

You two and QtM are going to “win” this one walking away.

I had classmates in college who ended up married. I wasn’t close to either of them, but I’d chat with them and sit with them in the cafeteria sometimes. A few years after college, the guy poisoned his wife slowly over several months by spiking her Gatorade with antifreeze.

A guy I knew just a little in high school went on to become locally infamous for killing his parents.

Other than that I think I’ve only known run-of-the-mill douchebags.

Besides myself…seriously, if anything happens to my kids I’ll wish an asteroid into this stupid fucking mudball. I threaten God daily…I may need help.

I played soccer with a guy who was executed for killing his wife. Came back from a few months in Miami and saw his mug on the front of the paper. Couldn’t believe it. Still don’t. I remember his first words to me.

My niece was married, for several years, to a guy who was, if not downright evil, incredibly manipulative, and, as far as I could tell, completely without morals.

He’s in the entertainment industry – he’s not particularly famous, but I don’t want to give further details, as I don’t want anything to blow back onto her. He regularly cheated on her, and twice, kicked her out of the house that they shared due to arguments (and threw away her clothes and other possessions when he did so). If he doesn’t actually suffer from narcissistic personality disorder, he sure shows a lot of the symptoms.

She left him about five years ago, and eventually divorced him. He remarried soon after, to a young woman who bears an uncanny resemblance to my niece.

My niece lives over a thousand miles away from him now, but even now, once or twice a year, things appear on her front porch that strongly suggest that he had paid an unannounced visit.

Also, she discovered, last year, that he owes the IRS a large sum of money for unpaid taxes, and as the two of them filed joint returns for several years (which he filled out and had her sign), the IRS is garnishing her tax refunds to address his tax debt from the years in which they were married.

Would you like some Bailey’s?

Nobody will get this…

It is slightly esoteric.

Ahem, ahem.:dubious::stuck_out_tongue:

I lived with a member of MS13. Face tattoos, the whole deal. Showed me a video of, I guess his initiation, in which he killed someone with a machete. If not for the tatts and video though, he was very friendly, even charming. He had a southern accent. He told us a story of how in his hometown he tried joining the KKK, not realizing despite his Anglo appearance, the clan knew his family had some Latin blood. They told him he could join by hanging himself from the tree. I generally got the impression he didn’t really understand the things he did were bad, and that he wasn’t so much committed to a particular ideology as he was just desperate to belong.

I think he was trying to stay out of trouble by living in the suburbs but eventually got too restless and moved back to the city. I helped him carry his stuff to the train, during which he wore a onesie fuzzy suit with animal ears hoodie. Definitely a study in contrasts.

Next week on the news, he was reported arrested for robbing a cab with someone.

I once had a brief association with another fellow I didn’t realize was rascist until I happened to see his usually covered Naziesque tattoos. When I commented, he said even his whole family, even his dog, was White Power. Again, this guy, though passably white looking, was also part Latin. And his dog, well, his dog was a dalmatian.

From a shoe!

As for the thread… I have known a couple of arseholes, but never to my knowledge anyone who was truly evil. I consider myself lucky!

My father.

But he’s dead now.

Also I don’t understand how all those people with death wishes knew to go to the World Trade Center that September morning. Was there a death wish convention there or something?

“Hey man, hold my beer and watch this!!!”?

I tried asking stuff like that, she wouldn’t budge. In her view, nothing you could do to someone was actually wrong, because they called it on themselves.

The temptation to punch the woman hard in the face then ask her ‘Now why did you want me to do that?’ was very strong.

I’ve met plenty of people who claim that ‘things happen for a reason’ and ‘you reap what you sow’ as vague explanations for bad things happening, but never another one who would cheerfully say that my Grandpa had dementia because people probably weren’t giving him enough attention, and this was his way of getting that.

Sadly she was driving while telling me this, or I might have tried the face-punching experiment, but, well, I didn’t have a death wish…

I knew this man slightly as a child - he was in my grade, but in a different elementary school. But even then we heard about this crazy kid across town. He ended up killing and dismembering three prostitutes, which ranks him above the abusive boss I had for a few years.

I really don’t have a person to contribute to this —but I am reminded of something I was taught.

The most evil person doesn’t see what their doing as evil—they think it’s right. They have no guilt or remorse for what they have done because to them, it’s just something they do. And they are completely sane(by the legal definition); they know society thinks what they do is wrong they just don’t care.

No.
