I’m gonna say Roy, for sure. I mean who hasn’t heard of Siegfried and Roy?
Probably anyone born after 1990.
God only knows how, but my 14 year old knew who he was and he was born three years after Horn was attacked by the tiger. He didn’t learn about him from me! I think Siegfried & Roy are just part of the zeitgeist.
Wow. My condolences.
This cartoon was in my local paper today.
I’m kind of wondering if some of the famous people lately dying “of natural causes” or other causes are being intentionally misreported by the family, just to avoid the circus and baggage of covid and sneak unde the radar . Kind of like Asimov back in the day.
What baggage? I’d think they’d want to be identified as a casualty of the pandemic. It’s not like Rock Hudson or something like that where there was a stigma.
What were the symptoms? How did He/She get it? At Home? At the store? Was He/She wearing a mask at all appropriate times? Do you find anyone to blame for the death?
I wouldn’t wanna deal with that shit when someone died.
But if someone dies of cancer or heart disease, we can wonder about their eating/drinking/smoking habits. If in a car crash, whether they were being careful enough. There aren’t that many “blameless” deaths.
Phillip Kahn is (was) not a recognizable celebrity. I posted about him because he and his twin brother died about 100 years apart, him from COVID-19 and his twin brother from the pandemic in 1918. Newsworthy.
Godspeed, Annie Glenn.

Here we have a President of a Country who died:
Although I, being generally ignorant of world politics, had never heard of him.
Nick Cordero has lost his battle.
Rooting for Jair Bolsonaro to get into the game here.
Certainly not the most famous, but Nick Cordero really hit me in the gut. I was really pulling for him. Terrible way to go. I’m getting a bit teary eyed thinking about that long suffering and what his family went through.
Herman Cain
I’d say he at least ties anyone on this list so far if not being the clear “winner”.
So far…
Herman Cain is well known in politics because of his presidential run.
The virus doesn’t care about wealth or resources. 148,000 dead so far. They estimate over a 1000 deaths a day in the US.
Who could even tie him? He strikes me as the most famous by far.
