Who is the most famous person without a headshot on the Internet Movie Database?

I just noticed that George Carlin has no picture on the IMDB.

http://us.imdb.com/Name?Carlin,%20George

He’s pretty famous and this got me wondering who is the most famous person that doesn’t have their picture on that site.

Dopers?

I can’t help it. I know it’s insensitive, but Vic Morrow doesn’t have one.

When I read this thread title it was the first thing I thought of. Sorry.

Why is it inseneitive? The fact that he’s been dead for 20 years doesn’t explain the lack of a headshot. Actors who’ve been dead for a lot longer have headshots on IMDB.

Fibber: Vic Morrow was decapitated.

Anyway, to bring this back to less-morbid discussion, a quick search revealed such luminaries as:

Julie “Marge Simpson” Kavner
Late Late Show host Craig Kilborn
Lewis Black (“Back in Black”, stand-up comedy)
Dan “Homer Simpson” Castellaneta has a picture of Homer for a headshot.

:smack:
Now I get it!

It might not qualify under a strict reading of the OP, but William Shakespeare, as a writer, has no headshot.

Also, there is no poster for God

Vic Morrow is the father of Jennifer Jason Leigh who does, as a matter of fact, have a headshot.

Ciarán Hinds doesn’t have a headshot, which surprises me. He’s quite an active and prolific actor. You’d recognize him if you saw him. (I noticed that he was in “Road to Perdition” so I looked him up.)

There may be a logical answer to this mystery . . .

Does IMDB just put up headshots/photo galleries on its own, or must the actor (or, more realistically, their agent/PR people) pay for IMDB to do so? And does this apply in the case of deceased actors?

The Internet Movie Database’s info page on submitting publicity shots. Click on those gray buttons near the top of the page for details on who may submit photos.

In all cases, the submitters must pay for this service. And no, fans may not submit photos. Only the subject person or his/her authorized representative or heir.

Interesting. G. W. Bush must have done this then. Now I know a lot of men cheer but his trivia still immediately puts the image of Bush singing “Oh Mickey you’re so fine” in my mind. Anyway his father doesn’t have a head shot though.

Although you probably want to toss out those who aren’t true actors like him.

Incredible as I find this, Theodor S. Geisel–aka Dr. Seuss–has no headshot!

Of their list of top name searches in the past 7 days David Thewlis is the most searched for name without a headshot.

Adolf Hitler ? Yes, he’s in the IMDB.

Kurt Cobain doesn’t have one, either.

I think the biggest shock for me would still be George Carlin.

Dean Stockwell has no head shot.

Rene Auberjonois has none.

Joel Gray, David Alan Grier, Sally Kellerman, Sally Kirkland, Martin Mull, Jill St. John, Ray Walston, and I’m sure a gazillion others, don’t have headshots.

Louis B. Mayer

Bob Dylan

Elizabeth Montgomery

And Blake Edwards. He’s directed a billion movies (Breakfast at Tiffany’s, anyone?), and alas, there is no head shot…
