“Honestly now, Chaplain, you wouldn’t want your sister to marry an enlisted man, would you?”
“My sister IS an enlisted man, sir” the chaplain replied.
Favorite: Coolidge (at least partly just to be original here)
Least Favorite: LBJ
Favorite - Reagan
Least favorite - It would be so easy to pick Clinton, but I think he will be viewed more as a waste of presidential space over time, so I’ll just stick with LBJ.
My goal - 1000 posts before March 20th.
Help me out by starting topics suited to my abilities. Sports, money, politics, random things that require a funny yet totally pointless post.
You can make a difference in my post count.
Hey, Anti and Water: Check out Paul Johnson’s A History of the American People (written by a conservative British historian/journalist) for a reassessment of Harding and Coolidge. Turns out they weren’t so bad after all. It’s a good book, well worth a read. Johnson is unabashedly conservative and says so straight out–he doesn’t pretend to be a neutral historian, which is part of what makes the book so much fun. I wouldn’t depend on it as my only source on American history, but I advise reading it to get a perspective that isn’t often seen in bland PC high school and college texts.
most: Bill Clinton, first term.
least: Bill Clinton, second term.
A fascinating pair.
I believe Harding is first President who’s been documented as humping chorus girls in the White House.
And Coolidge never had sex at ALL.
Ike, I gotta agree with your choices.
But maybe George Washington was the best.I wouldn’t know!
Is this also for research for your upcoming porn movie?
Buck Buffman stars as JFK in PT One Oh Sixty-Nine! The Japs couldn’t kill him with bullets, so they sent a crack squad of seven ninja geishas to love him to death! [cue cheezy music]
I’ll leave it to others to make the Reagan jokes…
