I am looking into doing some freelance graphics work and am wondering if anyone can recommend any Web sites that match up freelancers with projects. http://www.elance.com provides this service, for example. Are there lots more of these sites out there? I checked on monster.com but their freelance area doesn’t seem to have much activity; plus, the projects are separated by state and have to be searched individually, which is kind of annoying because all the work is done electronically anyway so I could be in New York doing a project for a company in LA.
Or, other than word-of-mouth referrals, how does one go about getting projects? Any advice anyone can give would be much appreciated.
Also, I think there was a thread about this very topic a few months ago but I have been searching for 1/2 hour and can’t find it. Sorry if this is a repeat.
