My brother is looking for work in or near Indiana. (I think he’d be willing to relocate, especially if he can get home on the occasional weekend.) He’s pretty damn good on heavy machinery–backhoe, loader, etc, and has been doing this since he was in high school, so he’s got 20+ years experience. He’s not union, although he was at one time–I think he’s discovered that the unions he’s talked to can offer him membership but no jobs, so he’s holding off until he feels more confident about finding work that way.
I don’t enough about heavy machinery to give a lot of details, but if anyone is looking for a good backhoe operator (or something similar), I can give him a call and/or set you up with his phone/email.
I do know, having grown up with him and having watched him for all these years, that he’s an amazingly dedicated worker. His house is about 100 times cleaner than mine, because he works ALL the time…and if he’s not running a backhoe, he’s fixing up his own place.
