Who performed/wrote the Highlander movie main theme?

Not sure if this should go here or in Cafe Society, but it is a question.

I have a couple of Mp3’s both titled “Highlander Main Theme”. One is by Queen, the other is by Queensryche. I am a little confused, for in both they sound the same to my ear like Queen’s music.

I believe it was Queen who did music for that movie, along with Michael Kamen, who wrote the original score.

Could Queensryche be mislabeled? Thats pretty common
with mp3’s.

definately queen. Also, I think the song is great (princes of the universe) in the movie. However after the movie cuts the song off, the song goes all to hell.

Definitely Queen.

Their album A Kind of Magic is more or less the soundtrack songs, done in full. Great disc.

For most of these questions, you can go to the International Movie Data base (IMDb) and enter the movie’s title, then select the movie (or TV show) you are looking for.

Then when the movie’s page is displayed, in this case Highlander (1986), go to the bottom of the Cast List and click (more), it will take you to the Full Cast and Crew credits where, just after the cast and producer(s) they list the music credits.
