BUMP
These are the REASONS I DON"T VOTE!
Excuse me, but this should a prime example of why you should vote. This was one of the closest elections in history, which made the power of one vote quite obvious to the rest of America. And even if you dont agree with his views, I still feel America should do more to support the leader of the country. He’s not going anywhere for a while so get used to it.
Buddy…he’s gay…End of disscussion
You’re much more likely to get flamed …
… for acting like a troll in GQ,
… for bumping your thread before the echo had died, and
… after this thread gets moved to the Pit, unless it gets closed altogether.
Enjoy yourself.
Just a question…For You ^ How do you KNOW what a troll acts like…? Hmmmmmm
Well, you obviously are not going to last long on here. One, I am sure this won’t be considered a general question, and two, ripping on George Bush seems to be very taboo around here. The powers that be do not take too kindly to attacks on him, as we had seen when there was a series of posts regarding presidential IQ.
That said, are we really screwed? I do not think that any one president, given only four years, really has the power to send the country on a sharp, downward spiral. Will GW be remembered and revered as much as, say, Lincoln, or Washington, or some of the more prominent leaders of our past? Probably not, but it needs to be remembered that memorable presidencies are as much a product of timing and opportunity as they are of great presidential “talent”. GW probably won’t have a world war to lead our country through. He probably won’t have a horrible depression to lead us through.
A few recessions and maybe really high gas prices aside, in the long run of things, this presidency will probably be rather uneventful. Which should be considered a good thing.
… for using ‘gay’ as a synonym for ‘stupid’
… for being unable to spell, punctuate, or make any sense
Inappropriate in a number of ways, Razed. I think you’d better catch your breath and read the rules of this board.
Jill
So what exactly is it about Bush’s policies do you disagree with? Maybe if you could articulate a reasonable argument other than ‘he’s gay’ or ‘he’s a moron’, you would get some responses.
Choosing not to participate in the process makes you as responsible as if you had voted for Bush.
Also, no one wants to hear about your excuses. If you knowingly post inappropriately, don’t then say “it’s ok because I’m new”. I’m sure the moderators don’t care.
