I wouldn’t object to him posting his evidence, but…he said he would post it by the end of the day on the 14th. He did not (I strongly suspect the order to stop hassling me came by the 15th at the earliest). We would have been treated to another 1,000 post “flat earth” thread before we got the “evidence”, and I would have had to put up with months of hassling and unsubstansiated insults by Phaedrus in the meantime. It is not terribly pleasant to be called a liar, deceitful, vicious, cruel and a bitch by people who feel no need to back up their assertions. He has his chance to post his evidence; he didn’t; The End. If he has evidence, he can email it to Ed; Ed can determine whether it is worth posting and we do not have to suffer through months of delaying tactics.

Well, the entire debate is probably moot, since I don’t really believe he has any ‘evidence’, but the quote below is from Phaedy’s e-mail to you, Gaudere. (bolding mine)
If he were to truly have incontrovertible evidence, as he claims, I suspect it must be of a highly personal nature if it were good enough for a “court of law.” I think prudence must force Ed to ask Phaedy to refrain from posting any such evidence as may actually exists. As such, I’m sure you would not want it posted anywhere without prior review and/or approval by yourself or the others concerned.
If you want to see Phaedy’s ‘evidence’ and do not want him to e-mail you, a third party must be enjoined. It’s probably going to have to be a moderator or administrator since they presumably have access to his un-posted e-mail account. But, like I said, I don’t believe he has any such information about you, Gaudere, or andros or Clark K, so the entire thing is probably moot. However, I only have my intuition based on Phaedy’s track record to back me up on this.
I do agree with you that Phaedy’s statements are a bit spooky, whether he actually has what he claims or not. Sadly, though, I don’t see any way to force him to divulge any information he may have, nor do I see any way to get him to fess up and admit this is all a particularly contemptible hoax.

I suppose you’re right, Unclebeer; if he’s gotten my SSN or something I certainly don’t want that posted. (Of course, if he had looked a little harder he would have gotten andros’ and Clark K’s SSN number too–or maybe that is just proof of the lengths to which I will go to deceive. ::rolling eyes:: ) I really hope this is just a typical Phaedrus insane rant and he hasn’t actually tracked down where I live or anything. I’m glad my place has good security.
Folks, I am kind of late, but I will stake a claim to $200 (the cost of an oz. of good Columbian) as – if you will check the Flat Earth thread – I was one of the first, if not the first, to call out Phaedrus for being a boreass supreme.

Beer–thanks for the concern. But I’m not worried for myself. He knows nothing about me or my life (obviously). I admit to a little concern for Gaudere, though. Obsessive stalkers can be a little scary. And Phaedrus certainly seems to qualify.

As long as he only has one screen name (as per the new rule), and obeys the “Don’t be a jerk” rule, he most likely won’t be kicked again.

Since I know you’ve not been posting for long, please forgive me if you’ve heard this before: I’m mostly remembering the Contestant #3 fiasco, in which a poster was booted for what he felt were unfair reasons. After a few obnoxious pseudonyms (at least one of which also got banned, IIRC), he decided that he preferred to continue posting and hasn’t been a jerk since. (Well, not out of the Pit.)
I like C#3, and I like Krispy Original. I disagree vehemently with some of his/their opinions, but I like having him around. As long as he’s not being a jerk.
