Who was the best President for YOU?

Eisenhower.

He ended the Korean war, and didnt start any other wars. He pretty much did not interfere in the daily lives of most citizens, did not invade our privacy or our rights. Most people did pretty well while he was in office. He created the interstate highways, something that I actually use. He kept the government interference and spending down, while at the same time we were the strongest and most prosperous country in the world, with a strong U.S. dollar.

THANK YOU all, for answering me. I do appreciate it. As I said, I’m still pretty young in the world of politics. I only came to this country in '79, and my parents were (and are) VERY naive politically.

I had a dream just last night that I ran into Bill Clinton somewhere and I said to him, “Hey, President Clinton! You’re the second best President of the 20th Century after Jimmy Carter!” Actually, for me he’s the best. The economy was great for me and mine, I, too, agreed with his positions on social issues (although I felt he wasn’t as strong as he intended to be on gays in the military) and I totally wouldn’t have minded blowing him in the oval office, even if he denied it later. But, that wonderful Mr. Carter - God, I admire him! What an honest and good man he is. Too good to be an effective President, but he’s a true statesman and one of the few people I know of who says he’s a Christian and then acts like one.
