Who was this Christian speaker I saw as a kid? (ex-con, more details inside)

Really? Like all you know is what has been presented in a court?

Ok, how many judges do you know personally? How many have you spoken to today? Where does your knowledge of judges, judgements, crime and criminals come from?

You’ve made judgement about some character you’ve never met, on the evidence presented in an internet thread. I don’t think that your judgement has any particular validity. Certainly your characterisation of judges doesn’t help your case.

Well, an internet thread. And a published court case. And the man’s own description of a past as Christian motivational speaker. And the broader tapestry of our knowledge about Christian grifts.

And FWIW, I know many judges. And FWIW, I don’t necessarily trust them all—certainly not the type who would end up hearing an appeal in Georgia. But then again, I trust Christian grifters from just about anywhere even less.

As the factual question was resolved when this thread was bumped (around post 24) and the discussion has moved on, I’m moving this to IMHO.

Note, that isn’t actually the story he told. He doesn’t admit to being a getaway driver.

He says that his two friends went and committed armed robbery without his knowledge or involvement. Then they came and asked him to drive them away, which he did.

If his story is true then he isn’t a murderer. IF it’s true. I don’t claim it is, and I don’t claim it’s not.

Yes, he says he didn’t know they were going to rob a store.

At that point he knew that his friend had shot someone.

Strange that a criminal would plead ignorance and innocence. I’m sure he’s the first.

It’s not impossible. There have been people wrongly convicted before.

Not saying I believe him. But I can’t find any information about him.
