Oddly enough, I called Portia de Rossi as a lesbian the very first time I ever saw her, in the (really, really bad) Hugh Grant movie, Sirens. I say “oddly,” because I have the worse gaydar ever, and she had a pretty minor role in the movie, with few (of any) lines.
So evidently NPH is Neil Patrick Harris. Hm. I guess that makes sense.
And I guess it could have been the Pintauro kid, but I’m pretty sure it was JTT. The DJ’s point was he shouldn’t make that determination at 14, he should go sow some wild oats first. What makes that sort of a stupid thing to say is that, according to every gay person I’ve ever spoken to, you don’t need to experiment sexually to know you’re gay, you just know it. And according to his IMDB page, he has been on the cover of The Advocate, for whatever that’s worth.
And Clooney? C’mon, nah.
Most people make that mistake, but the PH actually stands for “Poon Handler”. 
First time I saw Ocean’s 12, there was a scene with Pitt and Clooney together, and there was this one moment when I was absolutely stricken with the thought, Would you two just kiss already?
I would actually be surprised if Clooney was, because I guess I just get the impression he’d be out if he were.

'JTT’s interview in The Advocate is actually about him not being gay (but in a very cool, non-horrified way). I was sure he was hitting on a few male friends of mine while out at a bar a few years ago, but maybe I was wrong. You’d have to be a pretty big asshole to deny being gay, do the cover of The Advocate, then come out years later.
Sheryl Swoopes. She was always so aggressively feminine. Most other WNBA players wouldn’t really surprise me much.
Richard Chamberlian, because he was supposed to remain youthful and fall in love with meeeeee! 
Mike Piazza never came out. He’s been married for almost four years and has a kid with his Playboy Playmate wife. I always thought those rumors were a kind of wish fulfillment fantasy from the gay community. Hell, I’m straight and I’d do him.
As for me, I was surprised that David Hyde Pierce was gay (although he never had that “out of the closet” moment). The whole point of Niles seemed to be “He acts gay, but he’s straight!” which Frasier played with in a few episodes. I just always figured that’s how DHP was in real life. Nope, apparently he’s “He acts gay, because he is!”

David Hyde Pierce in the past just refused to discuss it. The first time I saw him (on Fraiser) I figured the actor, not the character, for gay. He just was unconvincing as a straight guy. John Mahoney did straight guy very well.
Really? You think it’s a bad movie? It’s not brilliant or anything, but my husband and I both enjoyed it quite a bit. It was fun to see the clash of seemingly stereotypical free-love bohemians vs. seemingly stereotypical prude, upstanding missionary/missionary’s wife (with neither side being quite what you’d expect and both sides learning and growing from the experience of being around each other). It’s a very sexy movie too. I don’t know what’s not to like, unless, like someone who hates football might not like Friday Night Lights, a gay man probably wouldn’t like Sirens? I don’t know.
Yeah, I’d kinda think so too. He doesn’t seem to care what anybody thinks of him and just does his own thing. I guess it’s just wishful thinking on my part.
I was genuinely surprised when I heard about Queen Latifah. Others expressed shock at my shock, but I honestly didn’t know much about her except that I think she’s super fucking hot and I already had a major girl crush on her.
This is kind of why I think Henry Rollins must be straight even though the rumors have circulated for years. If anyone would get up and say “I’m gay, you got a fucking problem with that?” It’s Henry Rollins.
Queen Latifah has never come out either.
