It would be interesting if a Clinton/Warren ticket won, and the Senate shifted by a net four seats. The balance of power for a while will belong to… Governor Charlie Baker.
I would take Warren off the list for Hillary’s VP based on the scathing statements she made about Hillary’s flip flop on the bankruptcy bill which is the first thing that comes up if you search ‘Warren Hillary’ in google search engine. - YouTube
Yeah, she’s too mavericky for a cautious candidate like Clinton. I think the only reason it may happen is because Clinton needs her.
Too many old-fart Democratic voters whom Hillary badly needs would be spooked by an all-gal ticket. It’ll be a guy, mark my words.
Some online betting favors Tim Kaine: US Senator Tim Kaine an online favorite to run with Clinton
If Papa Bush can get picked as Reagan’s running mate after the “voodoo economics” line…
Reagan didn’t hold grudges, nor was loyalty a religion to him like it is for the Bushes and Clintons.
“Elizabeth Warren meets with Hillary Clinton as vice-presidential rumors swirl”
Needs her for what? To get the women’s vote? To carry Massachusetts?
The only way she helps Hillary is with the anti-corporate people, and none of them in their right mind think that Trump is going to be tougher on corporations than Hillary.
Needs her to get the Bernie backers.
To appeal to Progressives. Warren’s a pretty good choice for that.
Personally, though, I’d rather she keep on kicking ass in the Senate. Warren for VP would mean she’d have to shut up and follow Hillary’s lead.
Well, Warren would be Hillary’s attack dog, like Cheney was for Dubya.
I freely admit that I don’t understand people, but I can’t understand how anyone seriously for Bernie would allow Trump to become president, even by inaction.
I think they could potentially do some interesting stuff with Warren, like explicitly give her a big role as the Wall Street Watchdog or Consumer Czar or something.
Chair of the SEC? Seems pretty minor.
Well, there is one protection agency she pretty much created out of thin air. But the Pubbies were willing to set their hair on fire and smother it with turds rather than let her run it. Of course, that might change…
Well so far the only hints Clinton has dropped is that the VP will be someone who “could be president immediately if something were to happen” …
That seems to signal away from a Castro at least. Warren, as Governor Rendell has opined, really does not have the foreign policy experience to not be in over her head if something were to happen either.
Warren would be very entertaining though.
I hate to ask this, but really, what are the chances for a Hillary/Bernie ticket? It just seems so logical to me. The Bernie Thumpers come on board, he’s capable of being a president IMO if something were to happen. Why wouldn’t that be the ticket the Dems are pushing for? Yes, Bernsie’s only been a Dem for a year, but think of all the future Dem voters.
Slim to none.

Biggest drawback? Bernsie’s old. Real old. Real damn old. Plus he would likely outshine the person at the top of the ticket. Big no-no.
Because I think Warren is smarter, tougher, and better on her feet.
I’m thinking Kaine would fit that description better than anyone else. He’s the former governor of a purple state, he’s fought some tough political battles, he’s a moderate (like Hillary), he’s got armed forces and foreign relations experience from this time in the Senate. And taking him out of the Senate sets up an old Clinton ally to pick his replacement.
Perhaps Warren is the lightning rod to take attention away from the actual potential veep candidate. Sort of a red-meat distraction for Trump while the real running mate is quietly vetted and announced-- a running mate with much less public persona for Trump to attack.
