Here’s The Washington Post on how the Pence announcement has been mishandled: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/07/15/donald-trump-just-turned-a-key-moment-into-a-complete-mess-once-again/
Let’s not forget that Pence was one of the co-sponsors of the Iraqi Resolution, a decision the Donald has been hammering Hillary for.
Making the official announcement with Pence in New Jersey, so the mics can pick up Christie’s sniffling I presume.
Good God Almighty, the Trump/Pence logo is ridiculously bad and easily mocked…
What in the world were they thinking there?
Scoop: @realDonaldTrump was so unsure about @mike_pence that around midnight last night he asked top aides if he could get out of it

Aside from the hilarious logo, the ticket makes me think of Mary Poppins:
Feed the birds, Trump-Pence a bag….
(The birds being, presumably, carrion-eating vultures.)
Three Trumppence will buy you a cup of coffee and some bangers.
I have no actual reason to believe this, but do you figure Trump saw the coverage of the attack in France and thought sonofabitch, we had it down to this guy and a three-star general; why the heck aren’t we announcing the three-star general?
The three-star General has been calling for the Ayatollah Khomeini to apologize for the Nice attack. Twice, with a twelve hour gap in between where no one told him the guy’s been dead nearly 30 years.
Then he should apologize for being dead!
Well, now its Ali Khamenei, so its an easy mistake, if you don’t much give a shit.
From Political Wire:
At first glance, I thought it said:
TRUMP
PENIS
It also suggests there is someone within Trump’s campaign who really hates the idea of him winning.
I’ve head, “Small hands, big Pence.”
To nitpick, none of that rules out Trump thinking last night that said general would’ve been a better choice. (The interesting argument, of course, is whether – given what we know of Trump – any of it rules out Trump still thinking it now.)
It does rule out the possibility that Trump actually thinks, though.
I’ll be curious to see if Trump can play nice with Pence for the duration. I feel like Trump’s the kind of guy who doesn’t take too kindly to disagreement from his underlings. I wouldn’t be surprised to see any behind-the-scenes disagreements sneak out into the public at some point, just as a sign of who’s boss.
That someone would have to be Trump himself.
Naw, they’ll send him on a McDonald’s run.
