Who Will Yang Endorse?

My guess is Bernie Sanders.

Dunno, but there’s been several tweets by candidates singing his praises. Everyone wants a piece of the ‘Yang Gang’.

Exactly. I’m curious to see all the comments from now and until then.

Bernie Gang?

Andrew Yang drops out
The entrepreneur and political novice was one of the biggest surprises of the Democratic primary.

I am so bummed that he dropped out, even though I expected it. Please do not lose sight of this man, his ideas, and his observations.

So no endorsement then, eh?

Tulsi Gabbard and Warren both said they were open to the idea of UBI.

Is VP out of the question?

I’d think so. I don’t see Yang wanting to be vetted on the level of a VP.

I hope Yang finds a way to keep talking about how bad the real economy is, automation, deaths of misery (suicide, substance abuse)… Maybe even more freely now that he’s not running for anything?

I doubt he’ll endorse before the convention, since I doubt any candidate will embrace the UBI.

I think so. I’m guessing the VP will be a woman.

Apparently in an interview someone asked him if he thought he had a chance at a cabinet appointment and HE brought up the topic of the Vice-Presidency! So it seems he’s interested in the job.

I’m skeptical about how much a VP candidate can really affect an outcome. For the moment I’ll just assume it can. The VP candidate has to be willing to throw out his own platform where in conflicts with the candidate. Yang ran as the out of the box thinker. Can he effectively put himself back in the box and campaign on someone else’s ideas? I don’t think so. As for the conventional wisdom to pick a candidate that hits a demographic that the candidate doesn’t, I don’t think that will work either. Asian Americans already lean heavily democratic and the largest concentrations of Asian voters are in solidly blue states. If the candidate is a man I’m going to say 100% the VP pick will be a woman. If it’s a woman I’m not 100% sure who VP will be but I doubt it will be Yang.

Yes, he said he would consider the position. I’d be happy to see him in any role where he could help improve the situation. Seriously, numbers speak.
