Inspired by several other somewhat similar threads, I decided to make this one.
If you could become any famous cartoon/comic book character, for real, who would you be?
My personal picks:
Spiderman - climbing things would be fun
The Incredible Hulk - I have a bad temper, perfect way to vent
Taz - he’s just too darn cool
Homer Simpson - I love to eat
Superman - who wouldn’t wanna fly?
The Flash - I never have enough time
Well, I wouldn’t mind being any of my roleplaying characters, though the one I would most want to be would probably be Narile (A dragonmage, simple answer, though if you want to know what he looks like, check out Narile and Rose )
Sette, Kael, Alyt, Narse, Mathius, Mythilt are all also ones I would not mind being, they are all role playing characters, either online or in my weekend games.
This is a toughie. There are many, many choices here. Lots of characters have cool power sets but are involved in pretty bad situations (the New Gods, for example, are engaged in a war that’s spanned eons, and Amberites lives just generally suck). I’ll try to stick to the top few, though…
[ul][li]Firestorm(DC Comics): He has the power of molecular restructuring. He’s basically a flying, nuclear-powered alchemist. I could do some things with that power.[/li][li]Superman(DC Comics): So… much… power![/li][li]A Green Lantern(DC Comics): You have Aladdin’s lamp in the form of a ring, limited only by your imagination, your willpower, and the inability to affect the color yellow or wood, depending on the ring (and the latest ring doesn’t even have that limitation, just a finite charge).[/li][li]Mr. Fantastic(Marvel Comics): He has stretching powers and is one of the smartest men in the universe. The potential for fun is nearly limitless.[/li][li]Son Gohan(Anime): He’s a total martial arts badass and the coolest character in DragonBall Z. Potentially more powerful than his father, Son Goku (who I also wouldn’t mind being).[/li][li]Icon(Milestone Comics): He’s got power (flight, strength, durability, and plasma blasts), ubertechnology, and he’s been on Earth since before the American Civil War. Combined with the fact that he’s an alien adapted to the body of a black man, those give him a unique vantage point from which to affect the world.[/ul][/li]Of course, this omits characters I’ve created for RPGs, stories, comics, etc, simply because no one out there would have heard of them.
I would become my childhood idol, “Brenda Starr–Girl Reporter.” My life would be pretty much the same as it is now, except I’d have better hair and I’d live in the Lovely Arms Apartments.
Well, I usually feel like I’m becoming synonymous with something indescribable, but, failing, that, I’d like to be…
Swamp Thing: not now, of course, after I die and my ashes are scattered in the Jersey swamps Vandal Savage: because a) I love the name and b) he’s immortal, which is quite useful Brother Power the Geek: because I’d just be so gosh-darn happy Doctor Strange: cool house in a great neighborhood, wonderful library, flying cloak and all the magical power you can stand The circa-1972 Superman: whose only weaknesses were kryptonite and magic and, oh yeah, all the kryptonite in the world had just disappeared Matter-Eater Lad: who’s cooler than he is? Nobody! a window-cleaner me!: with a rub-a-dub-dub and a scrub-a-dub-dub and a rub-a-dub all day long…
