Who would you bring back?

Um, it’s a not so obscure Star Trek reference. I don’t think this is a Godwinism…

My son if bringing him back also implies curing his leukemia.

Thomas Jefferson. Both because of his raw intellect and political skills, and because he’d be able to lay to rest all this “What did the Founding Fathers really mean?” crap. Though I suspect his answer would be, “Shit, I don’t know – we didn’t have machine guns and abortions and the Internet back then. Figure it out for yourselves.”

Exactly my answer. We could really use Feynman back.

Boy! Looks like I’ve been WHOOSHED! Now I remember the Star Trek episode you’re referring to (one of the stupider ones from the first series). Sorry, Silent and blowero. Guess the Geezer’s memory ain’t what it used to be. :o

Blasphemer.

Jesus.
Buddah.

Abbie Hoffman, which should come as no surprise to those who know me…

I’m a “Trekker” myself, JT, an enthusiastic watcher of Star Trek the original TV series, Star Trek, The Next Generation and the movies that sprang from both. And I kinda like Star Trek, Voyager too (especially Seven of Nine…I’m a geezer, but I ain’t dead yet). But I’ve never been a “Trekkie,” a fan, who can tell you the title and plot of every episode and speak the lines along with the cast. If that makes me a blasphemer, so be it.

Blasphemer.

The Guardian of Forever rules!

My brother, Mark. No question about this at all.

The guy who did Darth Vaders voice, right?
Seriously, this is obscure but for me, it would be Jeff Porcaro. He was an amazingly gifted drummer that died in his 30’s from heart failure. He was the drummer for Toto, Steely Dan, and hundreds of other artists. I studied with his father. He left this place way too early.

The Mahatma for sure. If he had not been cut down this whole India/Pakistan thing might not be here.
