Who'da thunk? [Spicy Food]

Full o’ crap, says my stepson. I’m not sure I can face going to Taco Bell, even with the offer of a free “meat” taco that I got today.

I can think of a bare handful of “really spicy” foods I’ve gotten at a fast food chain. The hottest chicken sandwiches at Nando’s Chicken Land are indeed spicy, or at least as I recall from my last visit to Nando’s. And I’m not certain the Nuclear Lion Legs at the Penn State Sub Shop chain were actually ever intended for human consumption; I burned my face eating one. Apart from that, no, the average High Street Indian takeaway’s Chicken Medium is usually spicier.

But is it, in fact, chicken?

I like em, not all that hot but tasty, for taco bell anyway.

I like spicy good and normally reach for the hot sauce bottle when available.

My ‘who’da thunk’ moment was at a little hole in the wall fast food Chinese food place in a mall. I got some noodles and liberally applied some hot sauce from an unmarked bottle. Usually at these places you get the standard “hot in name only” sauce, but this stuff was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. It literally had me sweating after a few mouthfuls and I couldn’t bring myself to go past the pain barrier and finish it.
