I LOVE Franken! Not only does he call out that lying idiot, he does it in front of possibly red-faced colleagues (I hope).
I’m glad we have a guy like this in our party!

Pickens deserves a fucking medal. He saved us from a detestable human being. (And, no, I never voted for Bush.) The two brightest spots for me in the couple of cycles was Kerry getting reveald for the piece of shit that he is and Cindy Sheehan getting an astonishing 16% of the vote when she ran against Pelosi, revealing just how whacked out my hometown is. I must admit I was giggling when I cast my ballot for her.
Niether one of them knows how to fill out a tax form.

But if I’d successfully made a billion dollars, I think I might step back from the the trough and let someone else in to have a go, while I tried to spend it.

Saved us from Kerry and gave us Bush. You made a mistake. You said saved us from a detestable human being ,when you meant to say gave us 2, Bush and Cheney. That is as low as it gets. Then toss in Gonzales and Rumsfield and you have the cabal of thieves.
Tell you what, go out and play around with some stock emulators or a video game with a robust market system (Well Eve Online since it’s the only one) and make a billion, record how long it takes. After that record how long it takes to get to the second billion. When you’re working with a billion and you are sufficiently diversified you can lose millions on one investment and recover it on another.
It’s absolutely true that the first billion is the hardest.
As for the OP, Al Franken is a bloated gasbag, but sometimes that’s what you need. Glad he took Pickens to task over that bullshit.
Kerry’s response about being too busy meeting with his internal staff was brilliant.
