Who's ____? X or Y

egad! sorry!
Who had a better jump from TV to Movies: Tom Hanks or Will Ferrell?

Is there any question? Hanks.

Who will still be doing voicework in Toy Story 8: Tom Hanks or Tim Allen?

Hanks has a very slight advantage, due to his being several years younger.

Whose back-to-back Best Actor Oscars were in better films, Tom Hanks or Spencer Tracy?

(three is not several)
Tough call, all four were good films, but I’ll say Tracy because ITW holds a special place in my heart

I got an A in history (ever so many years ago) for a report comparing the play to the actual trial

oops forgot again
Who is the better romantic comedy pair: Tracy/Hepburn or Hanks/Ryan?

It may be heresy, but I’d say Hanks/Ryan. I don’t think Tracy/Heburn have worn well over the years.

Who has had a more disappointing later career, Meg Ryan or Sean Young?

I was going to say Sean Young, but at least she’s worked more steadily than Meg has over the last decade or so. Then again, Ryan probably doesn’t need the money…

Whose name is a better anagram, Meg Ryan (Germany) or Clint Eastwood (Old West Action)?

Totally Clint, hands down.

Quien es mas macho, Vin Diesel or Mr. T?

I think you have to incorporate Clint into your new either or…

I do? Shit, I need to read directions better. Sorry. Okay:

Quien es mas macho, Clint Eastwood or Vin Diesel?

No worries.

Gotta go with Clint. He’s classic.

Who’s better at sharing the screen with an ape, Clint Eastwood or Naomi Watts?

Also Clint.

Who’s characters had the better (sometimes misquoted) catchphrases Clint or Bogart ?

Another close call, but I’ll have to go with Bogie.

Who had a more lasting overall impact on the U.S., Bogart or FDR?

Freudian Slit: After anyrose answered an Ian McKellen vs. Ian Fleming question the other day, she asked:

Zeldar responded:

So pravnik was indeed playing by the rules, as I am below.

FDR. The Tennessee Valley Authority is still around, as is Social Security. A sidewalk near my apartment contains a stone that’s engraved something like “Constructed by the WPA, 1940”. Maybe more kids recognize Bogie, but he didn’t affect the infrastructure of the country to any significant degree.

Which FDR opponent would have been a better president, Alf Landon or Wendell Willkie?

I’d go with Landon. An intelligent man who could put reality ahead of poltical ideology.

Which FDR Vice President would have made a better president: John Nance Garner or Henry Wallace?

I’ll say Garner after reading this bit of information:

Now who would have been a better Commander in Chief, Henry A. Wallace or George C. Wallace?
