He’s the new internet sensation. It took me a while to appreciate his talent, but now I’m a fan.
He writes, performs, and edits the videos all by himself.

I enjoy his videos, and also am rather impressed that his real name is actually “Randy Rainbow”.
I’ve liked him for a while and loved that the Washington Post did this feature on him last month.
Randy Rainbow kicks ass. Pit threads about Trump have been known to feature links to Mr. Rainbow’s works.
I hate HATE musicals :mad: but even I think Randy Rainbow totally fucking rocks! 
Thanks for linking this, eh. Something in that article caught my eye and I had to do a little bit of research but, yeah, turns out Randy Rainbow went to my old high school.
He’s like 15 years younger than me, so I doubt he had many of the same teachers I did, but it does mean that he and I have both performed on the same stage.
My favorite is his parody of Gilbert and Sullivan. Rainbow has a fantastic command of vocabulary and reminds me a bit of Tom Lehrer.
Mrs. Gap and I love Randy. Guy is super talented, and always seems to have a video to cheer us up when the news of the current “president” gets too depressing.
Wasn’t he the character played by Robin Williams in Death To Smoochy?
I agree with you, even though I LOVE musicals.
I had not seen that one before, although I have seen multiples of his videos. (Rather fond of his Cell Block Tango.)

He’s great! My friends share his vids on Facebook every so often and I think I’ve seen links here too. I’m not a musicals fan but he pics good songs so I know almost all of the songs he’s done. His videos are really well done and very sassy!!
He was actually performing at the venue in my town last night. I considered going but I’m poor and tired so I never followed through. A couple of my friends went, though.
I love Randy Rainbow! I’m also impressed that that is his real name (he said he told his parents “how did you expect me to turn out with that name?”).

Wow, am I old. I assumed you were talking about Randy and the Rainbows, whose “Denise” was one of the first rock songs I encountered as a pre-teen.
Dan Savage had Rainbow on his podcast in 2016 and he admitted that he was surprised (and disappointed, of course) that Trump won and actually made a video for Hillary winning.

The very first one I ever saw was The Very Stable Genee-us. Absolutely brilliant. I’ve seen several very good ones since, but nothing quite up to that first one. I think my DIL put a link on Facebook.
The first one I ever saw was Russia Ties. I thought it was hilarious. It is dated now but I still get a giggle. I also have a soft spot for Grease so that adds to the enjoyment.
He’s literally a rainbow in the shitstorm of 2019. He’s the best.
