Whos the best...

Who is your favorite superhero and why.

Any universe is welcome, not just the superior Marvel characters…

Heaven…One to beam up!

Well, my nerdy friends and I have discussed this on many a beer soaked girl free night.
I always have to go with the same two:
Havok and Colossus.
Here’s the why part:
Havok has a kick-ass power. The issue where all the X-Men go to Sydney and party just at the time that aliens innvade and inadvertantly fend off the invasion in a drunken stupor is great.
The scene that made Havok the man was where he is walking along and meets all the aliens with heavy guns. The mothership takes off, leaving all the ground troops behind.
The ground troops see this and understandably pissed. The leader says “Blast them from the sky!” and they let loose with everything they’ve got.
And the mothership doesn’t even bat an eye.
Havok, bottle in hand, says
“Blashtersh? <hic!> You call that a blashter? Thish, is a blashter!”
He holds up his hand in the classic pistol pose, takes aim and FRA-CHOWM!!! blasts the mothership from the sky. The dejected aliens look at him with such awe and expression that seems to say “We picked the wrong planet to *&%# with.”

As for Colossus, he just kicks ass. His power is so cool, he is my favorite by default. I have had a fantasy to be a tall, thickly muscled, steel superhero since I was a kid. Just to be sculpted from steel and be perfectly muscled would be cool. Not to mention the strength to press 100+ tons. That would just kick ass.

Larry Boy

He is a lot like Batman, but has yet to really solve any major problems. He is my daughter’s favortite as well and she is only 15 months old.

Larry-Boy was just goading me for not posting my fav.

I am often torn between two.

Superman: I prefer the Earth One version usually, but the Earth Two is also quite cool
I like him because he still plays by the rules. Doesn’t just kill for killing sake and such.

Spidy: You have got to love someone who can run a gauntlet of weapons and superpower attacks and still come up with puns and one liners. He too sticks to the rules.

Spiderman! No doubt. This guy is real: He has relationship problems. Money problems. He can’t use super-strength to just overpower the opposition: He has to use intelligence and cleverness to prevail. I like Batman for the same reasons.

If Cecil Adams did not exist, we would be obliged to create Him.

I like Silhouette. I don’t read comics very often, but the power to meld into and travel through shadows is really bloody cool.

Oh yeah. And he had the cool foes too. Like that Octopus guy.

Superman, without a doubt. With him, you don’t need all those other guys anyway. :stuck_out_tongue:

“Um, according to who? Nothing more than a high brow troll, though occasionally the bi polar personality swung in a constructive direction on innocuous topics.” Omniscient

I would have to say that mighty mouse is quite a super hero, not only did he have similar powers to superman but he had an exceptional singing voice. (even if he only knew one song)

Batman, not only because he’s Joe Normal cum Abnormal and still has ethics, but he definitely has better villians - Catwoman, Joker, Riddler, Harlequin… Love 'em all!

Esprix, who has both a Batman and a Riddler costume

Sorry guys, sounds MPSIMS-y to me. You’ll probably get a lot more responses there anyhow.
