Sounds like Billie Holliday, but sometimes Lady Day doesn’t always sound like herself. I think the number is “The Nearness of You” and it’s the background music in Courtyard’s latest TV commercial. Lovely. Haven’t liked one this much since Target’s “Sweet Happy Life,” courtesy of Ms. Peggy Lee.
