Granted it’s all a mess, but none of the reports I’ve been able to find give a clue in the current civil strife which side, if either, is winning.
What’s “winning?” I don’t know. Maybe which side has the higher body count. Which sets off more bombs?

Given that they have a huge edge in numbers the Shiites are pretty much foredoomed to win, barring outside intervention.
Both Shi’ites and Sunnis have lost neighborhoods/towns/areas to the others, which says to me that they’re both losing. So who’s winning? The Kurds!
