Who's your favorite hapless loser?

That’s right! And Stewart even wears a “Winger” shirt. So uncool.

They haven’t been around long enough to be considered hapless. You need to be patient, it is inevitable because it’s a Washington DC team. They should all be named the Washington Generals.

Hapless the past three seasons, and likely to be for another couple. There was that World Series thing in 2019, though.

Pugsley Addams. Not that I really thought about it before, but since I’ve been watching some Wednesday…

Thank you Zeldar.

I trust you are well.

As well as can be expected at this stage! No pains worth mentioning anyway!

Neil from the Young Ones:

And if it doesn’t have to be a loveable loser, Alan Partridge is definitely up there:

Why not Zoidberg?

Baldrick (any incarnation).

Whats-his-name from Shameless. The drunk guy.

Red shirt away team members. Group losing effort.

Bill Dauterive from “King Of The Hill” is a great loser (played by Stephen Rooth who played a loser in Office Space didnt he?).

Private Zero from Beetle Bailey is the traditional loser in my mind.

I loved the little homage they did to the trope in the first Chris Pine film. As soon as we saw the colour of random dude’s shirt when they were going on that sky dive, we knew the deal.

I’m with you. No way Phil is a loser. Bit of a dork? Sure. Goofball? Yes. But I don’t see any definition that fits “loser.”

We laugh, but even at that, Grace is still a pretty successful actor in the grand scheme of things, with a slew of feature film roles, and lead roles on a couple of major network TV series.

I think his problem is that he’s cut out to be a character actor, but people (maybe himself?) keep trying to push him into lead roles that he’s not really suited to play.
