Whose Post Is It (Improved!)

I recently started a thread based on the Whose Line is it, Anyway? sketch where the contestants speak only in song titles, with an idea that we could create a story. However, I soon realized that it would be quite difficult to tell a coherent tale using only the titles. The thread degenerated into (mostly) word associations. Not that they weren’t clever, but it’s not what I had in mind. Since the thread is currently at 8 pages (i.e. interest still exists), I thought I would try again, with a change in the rules. Titles are still okay, but the emphasis is now on lines from songs, movies, books, or what have you.

With that said, I will kick it off with the opening lines from the Bob Dylan classic, “Tangled Up in Blue”:

Early one morning, the sun was shining, I was laying in bed…

…sitting on a cornflake, waiting for the van to come…

… The summer wind came blowing in from across the sea.

…when the red red robin comes bob-bob-bobbin’ along…

go and get your riot gear.
(Five iron frenzy-Get your riot gear)
((No, I did not register to post to this thread, I registered to search.))

And if you go chasing rabbits, and you know you are going to fall

LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR, LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR…

Well, I’m about to see just how far I can fly, surely your gonna break my fall…

…I fell in to a burnin’ Ring of Fire…

Fire on the mountain! Run, boys, run!

Runaway. A-run, run, run, run, runaway…

You gotta hide, hide, hide! You gotta jump and run!

Run to me, whenever you’re lonely, run to me, if you need a shoulder…
