Cheetah? Psychotic superfast lady with claws? Riddler is MORE dangerous than her?
QFT. Assuming we’re talking about comics-Cheetah, she’s someone who can give Wonder Woman a good tussle. Riddler would at most mildly annoy the Queen of the Amazons.
What would the LOD do if earth were attacked by a cosmic menace who meant to do away with the planet? I don’t know much about DC villains, but would Luthor have the brain power to help deal with a Galactus or Thanos type menace?
Jake the Snake Roberts was a member in the early days. Nowhere near the physical equal of Hawk or Animal, but diabolical.
In the Justice mini-series no one thought Riddler was a joke.
DC should just cede all creative control to Alex Ross, Mark Waid or Gail Simone. If there’s a well done characterization of anyone, one of those three did it.
Luthor can’t even figure out the guy that just interviewed him is his arch-rival! Methinks his intellect is an “informed ability”.
Sinestro, on the other hand, has actually conquered a planet.
Sinestro is, basically, an evil Green Lantern.
And with Lex Luthor as Sinestro’s idea man, a cosmic menace ain’t.
To be fair, Cheetah is all kinds of powerful, and she’s not stupid at all. However, she doesn’t really go in for grand plans. She doesn’t really want to rule or destroy the world, or even really hurt anyone. She’s an enemy of Wonder Woman, but apart from that she mostly likes to enjoy life. She’s basically an evil Laura Croft. Well, given that Laura Croft casually murders men by the dozens in the pursuit of slaughtering wildlife for fun and destroying ancient temples, she might be the good (well, better) Laura Croft. Cheetah has been known to show a heroic streak, even though she is fully capable of killing.
Out of Wonder Woman’s foes, Circe is probably the single most dangerous. She’s very much capable of threatening the entire world. If she had a hair more power, she’d have won already.
He’s got an irrational blind spot when it comes to Superman, but is otherwise aces.
Yeah. I just don’t like Supes, Luthor or DC much. Way over-powered.
I loved the Elseworlds stuff. And Suicide Squad/ Secret Six/ Manhunter. And Bats, sometimes.
And Darksied
Yes. In fact, it was Luthor who saved the galaxy from Darkseid (the guy Thanos is based on) at the end of the JLU series.
Well, if you’re going to go that route, King Kong Bundy would probably win. I mean, he even managed to break Hogan’s ribs. Who else can say that?
But Paul Ellering said Bundy wasn’t a member and called him fat, resulting in him turning. I saw him and Masked Superstar take on the Warriors.
The Spoiler (Don Jardine) was also a member. He’s dead now, but he may have been the most legitimately “dangerous” of the group.
Bizarro am good at math!
I don’t really understand how Bizarro is even in the running. Yes, he’s strong - but he’s incredibly stupid and can’t accomplish anything on purpose. He’s only even destructive out of accident.
He’s got the most raw power. Grundy’s a zombie-Hulk, but Bizarro has a host of powers that make him much more dangerous if he gets in a destructive mood. Luthor and Sinestro need technology to fight-Bizarro just smashes.
