Whose user name do you envy?

I hate the ones that I need to go back to see how to spell it if I’m mentioning them in the post, and I don’t like them too long. (laianf, this new guest kyanthereieieia, Quagbog the Magic Man, Bossa Nova Tripod, Androgynous the Comic)

I don’t like them too punny (Shirley Ujest – she doesn’t know I secretly call her “Shirley Huge Chest”, or Keapon Laffin)

I don’t care for “real” names (roger_thornhill, roland_whatever, wesley_clark).

I prefer I know the gender.

I prefer capitalization.

I think that leaves me with Eve.

I do like plain ones like mine, lieu, and astro, or ones I get a connection with like twickster the puzzle editor, or ultrafilter and Mathocist the math guys.

Disclaimer: I’m really not putting down these user names. They’re just ones that I personally don’t care for, mainly because they’re a pain in the ass to retype. Most of these that I picked are ones you all like, and while I’m sure in most instances my opinion is superior to yours, I’ll defer in this case.

The variety of user names is what makes the place just so darn rootin’ tootin’ special.

It’s not on this board, but on Fark.com there’s a gentleman that has You_Mean_Im_Gonna_Stay_This_Color as his username.

I always thought that was a nice little reference. Inspired.

I like Capybara, Torgo and Mrs. Drysdale.

I hadn’t seen Sofa King, but that is, like, Sofa King Funny.

Bibliophage, oh, and C. K. Dexter Haven, which I thought was a cool name even though I didn’t know where it came from for ages :smack:

I’m not so keen on the geeky sci-fi/fantasy/manga-type names. I’m sure I miss plenty of jokes by not having a clue about that kind of stuff, but that’s just the way the molecularly-altered bio-nutrition disk crumbles, I guess.

Definitely Qadqop the Mercotan.

I’m also partial to Filthy Beast of Meat and Hair and Bosda Di’Chi of Tricor

Flaming Monkey Balls with Boogers on Top.

What? That’s not a username?

I always like go you big red fire engine and I don’t know why.

Guess mine fits in your category. yippee

I’ve always liked the name that is **666 ** spelled out in binary.

I also like Aldebaran (sp?) because it sounds for all the world to me like a planet in Star Wars.

I do not know if they are still with us but I always liked

Purple Crack Whore

and

Spiny Norman

Close - it’s part of the great bull. (I’m sayin’ nothing)

Probably because Aldebaran is the common name of Alpha Tauri, the brightest star in the Taurus constelletion.

That’s probably because it is in fact a star.

From here.

Heh. Three simulposts. Nice.

A three way tie. The judges give it to picker with the site and quote.

Thank you, thank you all.

First I’d like to thank the members of the Academy…

what?

picker wins by a nose?

A big burly guy no less.

Patty O’Furniture makes me smile every time.

One I haven’t seen in a while, and I am not sure of the spelling. Sue Duhnym was always kinda perfect to my way of thinking.

Ahem.

:dubious:

I’ve always liked Cunctator because of my interest in military history, and rowrrbazzle because I’m a big comics fan. Also Happy Scrappy Hero Pup, which always makes me think of that scene from Clerks, and Left Hand of Dorkness because there’s just something about it that makes me smile. Oh, and Moody Bastard, which I think is great.

On another board I once came across someone posting under the name ISpitOnYourRockports, which I still think is hilarious.
