Wht does SDMB load so slow?

It doesn’t matter if I’m on either of my laptops or my workstation during the day or on my PC at night, SDMB pages load PAINFULLY slow.

Sometimes early in the morning, before 7:00 Central, it’s acceptable but anytime after that and I’ll often wait minutes for a page to load and even longer to post a reply.

Is this a traffic problem?

I recently turned two other friends onto SDMB and they’ve both written back to me also complaining about the speed.

Any suggestions?

It has always been slow, but lately I’ve noticed that posting messages in particular takes forever. I’m noticing a lot of double posts lately, and I suspect that that is the reason.

This really belongs in ATMB.

If the board weren’t so slow, I’d move this thread there. :frowning:
